Computers and WiFi

Computers are available at both Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Libraries for free public use and provide access to standard Microsoft Office applications, the Internet, and the library edition of Ancestry.

PCs can be booked for a one hour session per day, with further use subject to demand. Access to PCs requires a current library membership card.

Please note that WiFi is limited to 5GB per day per device.

Other services

The following services are available at both Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Libraries:

  • black and white printing
  • colour printing
  • photocopying facilities
  • faxing service
  • scanning facilities (documents are sent to your own USB or personal email)

Print from your device

This service is available to library members:

  • Your email must be listed in your library record. 
  • Compatible file extensions: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .rtf, .xls, .xlt, .xlsx, .xltm, .xlsm, .csv, .ppt, .pptx, .pptm, .pot, .pps, .potx,.ppsx, .pub, .odt, .ods, .odp, .odg, .odf, .otg, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .gif, .tif, .tiff, .txt, .mht, .eml, .ini, .cfg.
  • Colour charges apply - A4 = $0.60 per page, A3 = $1.20 per page - to add credit see library staff, cash or card, there is no eftpos minimum.


Tablets available for loan at Cessnock Library

This service is available to library members:

  • You can borrow a tablet for use in the Library
  • Maximum session time is three hours
  • Print from tablets while logged into your email
  • Once returned to the dock all your data is wiped from the tablet
  • The tablets have a photocatalytic coating that provides long-lasting antimicrobial protection for various contact surfaces and is harmless to the environment
  • All tablets need to be back in the dock 30 minutes before library close for updates
