Spirit of Place with Uncle Warren Taggart

This is a special NAIDOC Week talk with renowned Wonnarua elder and teacher of Aboriginal culture, Uncle Warren Taggart.Uncle Warren will delve into his personal cultural journey, recounting conversations with his father and his rediscovery of his Country through its powerful imagery and significant sites. He will weave stories of the land, its art, and the profound importance of the Dreaming, drawing from the knowledge passed down through generations.

Ryder, a 22-year veteran of the Australian Army, including 16 years as a member of the elite 2nd Commando Regiment, will take audiences inside the secretive world of the commandos. From his gruelling training to his combat experiences in East Timor, Afghanistan, and Iraq, Ryder candidly recounts the trials and tribulations of a life on the frontline.
