Background

The Heddon Greta South Road and Drainage Improvements project will deliver significant upgrades to road pavement and stormwater infrastructure across several key streets in the area. The aim is to improve deteriorating road conditions and manage stormwater more effectively, reducing the risk of flooding.

The following streets are included in the project scope:

  • Heddon Street – Main Road to Averys Lane
  • Averys Lane – Heddon Street to Augusta Close
  • Adam Street – Heddon Street to Earp Street
  • Stanford Street – Main Road to Adam Street
  • Young Street – Main Road to Adam Street
  • Clift Street – Young Street to Heddon Street

In particular, the Clift Street works will involve the upgrade of stormwater infrastructure to reduce flooding risks for nearby properties, ensuring a safer and more resilient environment for residents.


Scope of works

The project will involve both drainage and road improvements, delivered in stages to minimise disruption to the community:

  • Drainage upgrades: To address flooding concerns, particularly in Clift Street and surrounding areas.
  • Road pavement restoration: Following the drainage works, road upgrades will take place across key streets to improve road conditions.
