Mount View High School

Mount View High School, a member of the Cessnock Community of Great Public Schools (CCGPS), is a co-educational secondary school delivering excellence in student education, innovation in our learning practices, and success in a modern high school setting. We currently have a student enrolment of approximately 930 students which includes 205 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Proudly part of our local community, Mount View High School has a strong tradition of academic, creative & performing arts, and sporting success. We have high expectations of students, consistent with each student’s ability, and the belief that all students can achieve their personal best.

The school offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that provides the benefits of specialist schools in a comprehensive high school environment. The school has a Support faculty consisting of seven classrooms for autism, multi-categorical and ED classifications.

Mount View High School won an Australian Education Award for the Best Student Wellbeing Program in 2019 and is committed to implementing positive educational practices across the whole learning environment.
