Greta Museum showcases local history that is special to the area, including;

  • early coal mining era,
  • some of the first businesses,
  • the former Greta Council Chambers,
  • the World War II Greta Army Training Camp,
  • the post WWII Greta Migrant Camp,
  • history of local pioneers and family ancestors.

Based in the former Greta Council Chambers building, the museum is situated between the state heritage listed Greta Courthouse and the current Greta Bakery, once the early Greta Post Office.

We are at 96 High Street, Greta, with parking nearby, and room for caravans and campers across the road.
