School holidays are just around the corner and Cessnock City Council has put together an action-packed program of events to keep local kids entertained.

The teams at Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Libraries, Cessnock Youth Centre and Outreach Service (CYCOS), and Performance Arts Culture Cessnock (PACC) have some amazing offerings these July holidays.

Local residents can participate in an interactive dinosaur event with fossils that can be seen and touched, when Just Dreams Promotions presents My Pet Dinosaur at Cessnock City Library on Friday 12 July.

Another highlight is the Baking and High Tea event at CYCOS, where participants can learn how to bake scrumptious treats, before savouring their creations during a charming high tea session.

Library Services Coordinator Rose-marie Walters expressed her enthusiasm about the upcoming winter program designed for kids, tweens, and teens.

"Cessnock City Library is excited to collaborate with CYCOS and PACC to bring this incredible program to life," said Walters.

"It's a testament to Council’s commitment to providing our youth with enriching and memorable experiences during the school holidays.

"Don't let this extraordinary opportunity pass you by! Make sure to check out the program of events and book your place to join us for an unforgettable adventure filled with learning, creativity, and fun."

Bookings are essential for all events as places are limited. The full program of events can be downloaded from the event page here.
