Kurri Kurri Library will host a series of beginner Ukulele workshops, designed to introduce the joy of playing the ukulele to people of all ages.

These workshops will be led by experienced music maestro John Wallace, who will guide participants through the fundamental skills and techniques of playing the ukulele.

The series of four workshops are open to everyone aged 12 and above and will be held between 5-6pm on the following dates; 21 May, 28 May, 4 June and 11 June.

Participants are welcome to bring their own ukuleles, but can also borrow them from the library if needed.

While it is not necessary to attend all sessions, it’s encouraged to gain the most from this exciting experience.

Library Services Coordinator Rose-marie Walters said they’re thrilled to be able to offer these workshops to the community.

"Ukuleles are known for their versatility, portability, and ease of learning, making them a perfect choice for beginners," said Ms Walters

"Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to dive into the ukulele universe and unleash your inner musician."

Kurri Kurri Library also hosts a weekly ukulele club every Friday at 1pm, which participants are welcome to join.

Bookings for these events are essential and can be made from the adults’ section of the ‘What’s On’ page hereor by calling Kurri Kurri Library on 4937 1638 or Cessnock Library on 4993 4399.
