Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with strong connections to culture and community are being sought to help guide Cessnock City Council’s future.
Expressions of interest are open until 7 February to be part of this term of Council’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee.
The role of the Committee includes advising Council to improve policy, plans, programs and service delivery.
To be selected, community representatives must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who:
- lives in Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA), and/or
- works or studies in Cessnock LGA, and/or
- has a strong cultural association with Cessnock LGA.
