Cessnock Library launches free app to provide members with easy access
Published on 03 November 2021
Cessnock City Library has launched a new app, giving members easier access to the Library catalogue, 24/7 eBranch, events calendar, online study support, Library news and more.
Available for download now on all iOS and Android devices, the Cessnock City Library app allows members access to its services and resources at the touch of a button.
Libraries Coordinator, Rose-marie Walters said she is excited that Library members can now access the catalogue on their handheld device from the comfort of their home.
"The app provides members with simplified access to the 24/7 eBranch, the Library’s numerous databases and the Cessnock Local History photo collection, research guides and information sheets.
“The app is incredibly easy to use, with the functionality to link family member accounts and give students access to a free online tutoring service. I encourage all of our members to download and start using the app today”, she added.
No card? No worries! Residents of the Cessnock LGA can still sign up to access a huge range of free eBooks, eMagazines, music, films, documentaries and TV shows to keep the whole family entertained.
Find the app by searching Cessnock City Library in your devices app store, download it and click ‘Join’. After completing the registration form, you will receive an automatically generated temporary membership number. Library staff will then email you an official membership number so you can start using the 24/7 eBranch.
If you need assistance, Library staff are available to help Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 4993 4399. You can also visit the new Cessnock City Library website at
