Cessnock City Council has completed the upgrade of Bluey Frame Park, Weston worth over $70,000 enabling Council to overhaul the community facility that was a little tired and worn.
The works have been jointly funded by Council and the NSW Government’s Stronger Communities Fund providing $10,000 for the works.
Member for Paterson Meryl Swanson MP, attended the opening event where Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent thanked her for her support of Council’s grant application.
“This upgrade is welcomed by the community of Weston and the young families in the area. It’s fantastic to drive by and see the playground humming with activity. The old facility was certainly in need of a facelift and it’s fantastic we’ve been able to deliver this to the community.”
The upgrade involved the installation of new play equipment, fencing and landscaping. For more information on Council’s current works visit Council's works section.
