SwimVAC is back again for another year, returning this Summer! After the program’s highly successful run at Cessnock Swimming pool last summer, the program will now be offered at both Cessnock and Branxton Pools. Book your spot today!

Royal Life Saving’s SwimVAC Intensive Learn to Swim program is a fun and beneficial Swimming and Water Safety holiday program delivered over 5 or 10 days of intensive swimming lessons.

Aligned to the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework, SwimVAC programs encompass nationally recognised swimming and water safety benchmarks teaching swimming and personal safety skills to children of all skill abilities.

Cessnock City Mayor Dan Watton said learning about water safety and how to swim is important – and fun!

"Being able to swim is a vital skill, so it’s fantastic that both Cessnock and Branxton Pools are hosting these swimming intensives that will cover pre, primary and early high school age children of all swimming ability levels," said Clr Watton.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity and book your spot today."

SwimVAC is targeted at children from 6 months - 14 years of age with the aim of getting as many children as possible to the 6 and 12-year-old national benchmarks for swimming and water safety.

The nationally accredited program will run on weekdays between 13–24 January 2025, with a range of flexible classes to suit any child’s needs and level of swimming experience.

Bookings are essential and open from 1 October 2024. Visit the SwimVAC webpage https://www.drowningprevention.org.au/swimvac to learn more and click on the ‘Book Now’ button to confirm your child’s spot in the program.
