Wollombi is in the running for NSW’s 2025 Top Tourism Town Awards in the Tiny Towns category, with populations under 1500.
The 2025 Top Tourism Town Awards, run by the NSW Tourism Association, brings a focus to regional towns, highlighting tourism gems from coast to country, outback, mountains, and river communities.
Cessnock City Mayor Dan Watton said he was thrilled to see the iconic local village receiving state-wide recognition.
"The Wollombi Valley is a shining example of how small communities can deliver world-class experiences," said Clr Watton.
"This recognition is a tribute to the local businesses, volunteers, and residents who proudly share their stories, landscapes, and hospitality with visitors."
"I highly encourage our local residents to show our support by spreading the good word and voting Wollombi to the top!"
All gold category winners will go on to compete in Australia’s Top Tourism Town awards in a national level program to celebrate the best of the best across Australia.
Voting closes 4 May 2025. To cast your vote, head to the NSW Tourism Association website here.
