Public Art Guidelines & Application Form
Cessnock City Council supports the development and commissioning of artwork that adds to the social, cultural, environmental and economic value of the area. Council's Public Art Policy outlines our approach to planning, selection and maintenance of public art.
Public art within or on Council owned or controlled land requires approval. Guidelines have been developed to provide a clear process for applicants who wish to submit a public art proposal (fees apply).
Applicants or artists are advised to contact our Community Planning & Development team on 02 4993 4100 to discuss their proposal before submitting their application.
